The Ministry of Agriculture has intensified efforts to modernize Zambia’s agricultural sector through international collaboration, as Permanent Secretary for Technical Services, Mr. John Mulongoti, engaged in high-level discussions with the Director of the Czech Development Agency, Mr. Michal Mincev, at Mulungushi House.

The meeting centred on strategic partnerships to enhance mechanization and agricultural technology, aligning with Zambia’s ambitious national targets of achieving 10 million metric tonnes of maize, 1 million metric tonnes of wheat, and 1 million metric tonnes of soybeans annually by 2027.

With a focus on sustainability and technical support, Zambia and the Czech Republic are exploring innovative solutions to drive productivity, improve efficiency, and bolster food security. This collaboration underscores the New Dawn Government’s commitment to leveraging international expertise in transforming the agricultural sector into a key driver of economic growth.
