IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS

Foreign nationals wishing to enter the country fall within one of the three (3) distinct categories with

regards visa requirements depending on their countries’ bilateral agreements/arrangements with

Zambia while some are placed in a particular category purely on reciprocity.

MODE OF APPLICATION (VISA ANTRAG)

If you wish to use mail service to obtain a visa, kindly use registered mail or courier mail service. For those applying from Germany, please enclose self – addressed registered mail envelope with sufficient stamps for return of passport.

The Processing period is approximately two (2 ) weeks.

VISA REQUIREMENTS

The following should be submitted in support of an application for a visa.

If traveling for business, studies, official (government), church or volunteer purposes:

• • • Passport (should be valid for at least six (6) months from date of expiry.) Two empty facing pages for visa endorsement are required.
    • Two recent Passport size photographs
    • Two duly completed Visa Application Forms.

• • • Photocopy of Flight itinerary.
    • A cover letter specifying the nature of the intended business /letter of invitation from the host.

If traveling for tourism purposes:

• • • Passport (should be valid for at least six (6) months from date of expiry.) Two empty facing pages for visa endorsement are required.
    • Two recent Passport size photographs
    • Two duly completed Visa Application Forms.

If traveling for private visit purposes:

• • • Passport (should be valid for at least six (6) months from date of expiry.) Two empty facing pages for visa endorsement are required.
    • Two recent Passport size photographs
    • Two duly completed Visa Application Forms.

• • • Photocopy of Flight itinerary or return air ticket
• • • Invitation letter and current immigration status of host.

VISA FEES

Transit Visas are only needed when an individual is travelling for a limited period of time. These visas are only valid for 7 days. The fee for a transit visa is the same as a single entry visa

Payment should be made by bank transfer to the following account. Please attach the receipt from the bank to the application.
