President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has invited German companies to invest in Zambia and forge joint ventures with local companies.
President HICHILEMA has emphasized Zambia’s readiness to partner with Germany in the electric battery value chain industry.
The President said this when he held private talks with Germany Chancellor OLAF SHOLZ at the Federal Chancellery in Berlin Germany LAST evening.
President HICHILEMA also appreciated Germany’s efforts to Zambia’s debt restructuring through the G20 common framework.
And President HICHILEMA commended Germany’s support to projects worth 77 Million Euros in water and sanitation, good governance and agriculture.
And Mr. SHOLZ said Germany is impressed with economic reforms being undertaken in Zambia.
He says Germany is ready to participate in railway connectivity projects in Zambia.
The President was accompanied to the closed door talks by Finance Minister SITUMBEKO MUSOKOTWANE, Foreign Affairs Minister STANLEY KAKUBO and other senior government officials.
