Germany calls for enhanced sport relations

Interministerial Meeting on Guidelines for the Federal Govt's Policy on Africa

On Thursday, 20th March 2014, Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier will receive the Defence Minister and his other cabinet colleagues or their representatives from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy and the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, as well as the Minister of State to the Federal Chancellor, for talks at the Federal Foreign Office.  The purpose of the meeting is to discuss guidelines for Germany's policy on Africa, with a focus on the opportunities that Africa offers for Germany and Europe.

German Federal Government Simplifies Visa Application Procedures

The German Government wants to accelerate the granting of entry visas to Germany. This commitment was announced by the Federal Ministers Roster (Economic and Technology), Westerwelle (Foreign Affairs) and Friedrich (Interior Affairs) to the four regional initiatives of German Business. The regional initiatives had demanded simplified and accelerated visa procedures for International business partners.
